Last week, I sent out the link to our live event — Tuesday, April 16 at the Brooklyn Bell House — and said, hey, get your tickets now because they’re gonna move. Well, you guys moved fast. Our VIP seats were gone that evening, and we’re pacing ahead of our last show. So, make sure to buy your tickets today.
What’s this? ANOTHER special treat for the Readers of The Newsletter (ROTN)? That’s right. Right now, and for another hour, you’re the only ones on Earth that know 2J3BD is doing a pop-up at our favorite pizza shop Lucia Alimentari — another argument to be made for those wondering if Jadakiss **is** Italian? Come by, say hi to all of us, buy some merch, eat some za, maybe even smoke some za (outside).

Shouts to our guy Richie at Lucia and Alex who designed the shirts, this is going to be a fantastic event. Also, we’re recording a special episode in their cafe space around Goodfellas — not open to the public, but you’ll see the final product on the calendar — and that’ll be going up on March 9.
Which brings us to our updated calendar:
This Monday: All The President’s Men (Eric) feat. Pablo Torre — free on Pluto.
March 9: Goodfellas (Live from Lucia) — on Amazon Prime or Apple to rent.
March 16: Cape Fear (Sheek) — on Amazon Prime or free on YouTube with ads.
March 23: Teen Wolf (Jadakiss) — on Tubi, Roku or Pluto for free.
March 30: The Devil Wears Prada (Jeff) — Disney+.
Eric is starting March off with All The President’s Men, one of his two favorite movies ever. The procedural thriller (and real story) about two Washington Post journalists following a small story as it snowballs so big that it takes down the President. Starring Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman, it is an incredible movie (depending on who you ask — Sheek will give you a very different take on Monday).
We brought in Pablo Torre of the award-winning Pablo Torre Finds Out as a guest, since he knows what it’s like to investigate very powerful people in the name of journalism and look over his shoulder in the meantime. Here’s a pic of Pablo and Kiss in the studio, and you can also get a glimpse of the security cameras that Sheek looks at while we’re recording.
On the premium side of the newsletter — PSN for our Paisons — this week, would you believe it, I interviewed Lenny S!
Lenny S. has worked with everyone from Jay-Z and Nipsey Hussle to Kevin Hart, Damson Idris and beyond — and gets name-dropped as Eric’s and my only friend on the showcast just about every week. One of my favorite bits from our conversation was asking how he ended up in the State Property movie:
Was it weird seeing yourself on-screen in a documentary like Fade to Black or a narrative film like State Property?
(laughs) Absolutely, man. I never wanted to do that stuff. I never wanted to be in front of the cameras. For State Property, everybody would lend a hand: whatever that was. So, for me, I had a Denali at the time: rims, system, kitted out. You know what I’m saying? And they didn’t have a bunch of cars on deck — no one was renting cars for this movie, they didn’t have the budget for that. So I would lend my car to them whenever they needed it, it was one of the many cars in the movie.
One day I was picking up my car — they were doing a jail scene. And Dame had utilized everyone he possibly could, they needed new faces. So he was like, “You need to get in this scene!” And I was like, “Bro, I just came to pick up my car, bro.” “Nah, you ain’t gotta talk, you just gotta be on the phone while Beanie Sigel’s in jail.” And I just did stuff like that because it was easier to do the scene than to argue that I don’t want to be in it.
And, next Monday, I’ll be sending out my conversation with The Wave himself, Max B, where he implores me to watch The Notebook.
There’s a lot that’s interesting about this week’s episode, Django Unchained: we talk about race and Tarantino, but also whether where the laughs are in a very funny movie about slavery, made by a white man who is having actors throw around the N-word. There’s a lot there!
And, as if that isn’t enough, you have the interpersonal dynamics of the show to contend with: Eric repeatedly trying to make the point that Django is a superhero led to Sheek stonewalling and gaslighting, which led to Kiss throwing shots, which led to me throwing my hands up and telling any one of The LOX to lead the convo, which led to a lot of nervous laughter and then Styles finally getting us back on track.
I think it ends up as one of our deepest convos, and one of our funnier episodes. Some say this also counts as another appearance by Therapist Louch, after the “It Hurt” convo, which brings me to:

Our latest segment! Send in any problems you have, anything that’s giving you trouble — with your relationships, with your job, with your landlord, with whomever or whatever — and our resident therapist, Therapist Louch, will respond on the showcast.
That’s it for this week! As always, you can find us on YouTube, Spotify, Apple, Instagram, TikTok and right here, for our weekly newsletter. Also, here’s our merch shop!
Come to the pop-up on Tuesday, March 3 at Lucia — come to our live show on April 16 in Brooklyn. Tickets will sell out, don’t say I didn’t warn you.
And here are the suggestions we got in the past week:
Send in your suggestions here! My personal favorite idea is probably Transformers or Memento, but there’s a lot here: Shawshank, Uptown Saturday Night, Tropical Thunder (which is a Sheek pick, for sure). I’m in the minority but I saw Gangs of New York and thought it was just okay, to be honest? Anyway, keep sending them in. See you (literally) next week!

The shirts kick ass.
Will the shirts from the event the available to those of us who can’t make it?
